EncyclOSpedia

This website's purpose is to help you choose an Operating System (OS), particularly if you are using a proprietary OS (Microsoft Windows, MacOS X...) and you want to swich to an open source alternative (Linux...). However, the writers try to be as neutral as possible so a closed source OS may seem more adapted to your needs or taste.

EncyclOSpedia's goal is to grade Operating Systems according to a few criteria, without giving them an overall grade, as there is no perfect OS for everybody, but only OSs that are better for each type of user.

This site is a wiki. If you have any knowledge on a particular OS, you can help this website to expand by modifying an entry or adding a new one.

To write a new EncyclOSpedia article, enter the page title in the box below. Please use the template for your new page. The page name should look like "os:<OS name>" (For example, the article for Ubuntu is called "os:Ubuntu").
